Congratulations, you are finished this WebQuest!

Through this experience you should have gained a deeper understanding of the importance of sustainable gardening and the aspects of maintaining such a garden.

Growing and maintaining a sustainable garden is vital to the survival of our society as the problems of climate change, carbon footprints and obesity are an ever-increasing problem.

If you would like to go further with this project, why not put your learning to more use! You could start and maintain a garden in your home and provide fresh, organic vegetables to your own family or perhaps an elderly neighbor in need. If you do not have the space or personal resources to maintain a sustainable garden, consider joining a community garden and volunteer to help maintain it.

Below is a link to the Edmonton Food Bank which talks about how you can put the skills you learned in this WebQuest to use and provide for people in need. You will find information on what you need to get started and what vegetables are best to grow and donate.

As you have learned from this WebQuest, greenhouse gases and global warming have serious impact on the environment. To help contribute to positive environmental change in your own community, visit the website below. It provides practical ways to reduce waste and to start recycling programs in your community/school.
